England, Italy and Spain, 3 of the European powerhouses’ soccer have. This weekend three major soccer teams had the chance to be proclaimed “Champions” in their respective leagues. In England, Manchester United only needed a draw to become champions for the third time in a row. The “Red Devils” were champions after a goalless match against rival Arsenal. Manchester United has summed up 17 English Premier League titles, leveling its derby rival Liverpool. In Italy, Internzionale Milan (known as Inter) could become champions without even playing. And such was the case; AC Milan was defeated by Udinese 2-1. After this result, the Neroazurri “Tifosi” started to celebrate. Inter now has won its Serie A title number 17 and its fourth in a row. Finally in Spain, Barcelona faced a similar scenario as Inter. “Los Blaugranas” had to wait for derby rival Real Madrid to either tie or loose on their visit to Villarreal. The match ended 3-2 in favor of Villarreal and Barza was the new champions in Spain. Barcelona has now won 17 “Liga” titles, placed second in the all-time record of Real Madrid’s 31 titles. What is curious is that all of these three teams became champions and their archrivals came in second. In the case of Manchester United, Liverpool came second. In Inter’s case AC Milan was the team that came in second and finally in Spain, Real Madrid is the team that came in after Barcelona. All of this three amazing leagues aren’t over yet, there are still 2 more games left for each team.
