La Escena
La Escena is a band which is composed of five members of our community. These are mainly seniors, but there is one sophomore. These members are: Carlos Ortega (the lead singer and guitarist), Aurelio Rospigliosi (the main guitarist with the most solos), Mateo Majluf (guitarist), Sebastian Silva (better known as Chibolin, playing the drums) and Ignacio Majluf (the bass).
This group of students has been practicing for a long time and developed this band known as La Escena. Their debut was at the competition known as “Rock in Bembos,” where they got first place, and so got famous in our community (of course, also won many free Bembos tickets and musical equipment). Since then, they have been performing magnificently at different occasions, such as the “FDR Arts Week” and at the “Tri-M Night,” by which their fame has skyrocketed throughout the FDR community. Their style is an alternative rock type with mixtures of psychedelic. They have three songs, one their most famous which was “Este Lugar” the winning song at “Rock in Bembos,” and their other two tracks are “Hablando bajo el agua” and “El juego de los Espejos”. I have been supporting this group since the very beginning, and have watched them grow and improve through their practices. I totally recommend them to anyone, as their musical style covers a considerable variety of genres. I look forward to seeing them play again and of course, for a new song.
